For some time Prince Firooz Alexander Sefre Zand RIBA and Sefre Architects + Research Group have been working with private clients and national governments to develop the concept of sacred space beyond the usual single function use and in some cases beyond the restrictions of a single faith or even any faith environment.
These sacred spaces are often associated with educational establishments and Sefre Architects + Research Group is proud to present its latest project, the Anglo European Sanctuary, Ingatestone, Essex, which will be opened formally on 24th October 2013 on the occasion of this internationally-renowned school's 40th anniversary. Many other schools are also now interested to explore the idea of incorporating such spaces within their premises. A petition to the Department of Education in the UK will further promote the educational and spiritual necessity of all schools benefiting from such a this facility. We are now booking appointments to visit schools all over the UK as well as in countries as geographically and culturally diverse as South Korea, Saudi Arabia and the USA.
