St Johns School, Chigwell
Sefre Architects & Research Group worked for a number of years as Architects with the Catholic Order of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. One of a number of educational projects has been the sixth form building for St Johns School in Chigwell.
Designing a school building, located within a Catholic religious community, but for children with special needs and from all ethnic backgrounds, enabled Sefre Architects to create a building of beauty and practicality. The atrium with its full length mirrors incorporating crosses has been one of the much-praised features. The building was opened by the Bishop of Brentwood in 2000.
