Harmony House Sacred Space, Dagenham
Sefre Architects & Research Group was asked by the Catholic Order of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary to design an education centre in Dagenham for the many refugees from all over the world that had ended up in East London. Prince Firooz was given total freedom to design a place of beauty, calmness and serenity that would connect and integrate often traumatised immigrants into the fabric of British society.
Harmony House has been the wonderful result of this, a lasting testament to the vision not only of the Architect but also the clients who encouraged and understood his vision, with its Sacred Space at the heart of the centre. Based on the concept of a Zoroastrian fire temple, Harmony House's Sacred Space welcomes all races and religions and became a place of pilgrimage for many, providing inspiration and peace.

The building was opened by Cherie Blair QC in 2001 and has attracted praise from so many, including Prince Charles, and has been on the list of hidden architectural wonders in London for a number of years.
